My trip to the World Procurement Awards was of short notice but one of the greatest moments of my time at SPARETECH so far.

I didn’t know what to expect of the evening as we were nominated in the Technology Innovation category together with the decacorn Celonis and DocuSign, among others. So I settled in for an inspiring but award-less evening with lots of new connections. Although I didn’t know anyone at my table in the beginning of the evening, we quickly got to know each other and celebrated all the winners together.

When it was time for Technology Innovation category and Claudia Winkleman announced that SPARETECH was the winner, I could not believe it at first. Many thoughts ran through my head while I was making my way to the stage to receive the award. Most of all, I felt thankful and proud for being part of a great team that consistently gives its all to achieve sustainable and cost-efficient spare parts management.

No matter who I talked to afterwards, they all were inspired by our solution and definitely felt we solve an urgent problem of the market. Together with our customers and partners, we lay the foundation for more transparency in spare parts management.

To see how all attendees celebrated together was a great experience. Connections and trust are important to bring innovation to procurement and beyond. At SPARETECH, we are just at the beginning of our journey. And I am excited to be part of it.
